Can I get married at Yorkshire Spa Retreat?

I’m afraid we can’t book wedding receptions at Yorkshire Spa Retreat, as our spaces are open to our lodge guests. However, we can always try to offer a segregated area within our restaurant, The Dome for special occasions.

Do you have corporate private hire options?

We can offer areas within The Dome for corporate use but if you need something more private, we have the Spa building which can be used for private use.

Is Yorkshire Spa Retreat, dog-friendly?

Absolutely! There will be other dogs enjoying the space too of course, so we ask that your pet is kept on a leash during your visit and well behaved in busy spaces.

Can I access the spa without booking a treatment?

Absolutely. Book in for the Yorkshire Rebalance and you can enjoy the spa facilities for three hours, without having a treatment.

Can I purchase gift vouchers for the Spa?

Yes. You can purchase gift vouchers here, or for bespoke vouchers please email spa@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we’d be happy to arrange it. 

Is spa access included in my lodge stay?

Spa access is not included in our lodge holidays, which provide self-catering accommodation only. However, we do offer Spa access at an exclusive discounted rate for lodge guests, with access to our wild swim pond, hydrotherapy pool, thermal cabins, and spa lounge areas. To ensure availability, we recommend pre-booking your spa access using the link provided in your booking confirmation. Additionally, you have the option to add extra spa treatments for an additional fee.

Do you have treatments suitable for during pregnancy?

Absolutely. Our Spa Therapists have developed some beautiful treatments that are suitable for our pregnant guests, and all of our spa products are suitable for use during pregnancy.  View our treatments

What facilities can I use whilst pregnant?

Unfortunately, we wouldn’t advise using any of our experience rooms if pregnant. However, you can use our relaxation dome and we have some suitable treatments too.

Can children use the spa facilities?

Our spa is exclusively available to guests over 16 years of age. And any guests aged between 16 and 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

Do you offer robes and slippers?

We do. On your arrival at the spa you’ll have access to a locker to leave your belongings and changing rooms where you can change into your swimwear. Here you can pick up our luxury dressing gown and flip-flops to use during your stay.

Can I join the spa as a member?

Yes.  You can join as a Spa member - click here to view our spa membership packages

What products will be used in my treatment?

We proudly use Tribe 517, which is a range of entirely natural skincare developed in the UK.

 

Stay FAQ's

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. If you need to discuss changes to either time, please contact info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk.

Can I stay for one night?

No but we do now offer 2 night stays.

Can I bring my dog to stay with me?

Absolutely. If your dog is well behaved, and fully toilet trained, they’re more than welcome to join us, but you must book a dog-friendly lodge. We do ask that you try and keep them off the furniture though, and we have a maximum allowance of two dogs per lodge.

Do any of the lodges offer disability access?

Our lodges are not specifically designed for disability access although this is coming in the future. In the meantime though, we can certainly discuss your specific requirements and advise on the appropriate lodge if you require more space. The lodges are of a large open style, so we can often assist with mobility issues.

Can my family access the swimming pool during our stay?

We have a natural swim pond as part of the spa, not a traditional swimming pool. Access is limited to over 16’s only, and any guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. You do have to book in though, and can do this via the main Spa page.

Is Spa access included in my stay?

During 2023 our lodge holidays offer you a complimentary three-hour spa access per guest, per spa booking, which does need to be pre-booked. In your booking confirmation, you’ll be given the link to book your slots. You can also choose to add additional spa treatments to your booking for an additional fee.

From January 2024 onwards, our lodge holidays do not include a complimentary three-hour spa access per guest. In your booking confirmation, you’ll be given the link to book you spa access slot at a discounted rate as a lodge guest. You can also choose to add additional spa treatments to your booking for an additional fee.

Can you arrange some special touches on arrival for me?

Of course, we’d love to help make your stay even more special. A member of our team will be in touch with you prior to your stay and can confirm these details with you. But you’re also very welcome to email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk to discuss some ideas.

What is included in my accommodation?

Your lodge comes fully equipped with the comforts of a luxury self-catering break, ensuring your stay exceeds expectations.

  • Soft towels and quality linen are provided, and each bed is made up for your arrival.
  • In the bedroom, you'll find a robe, hand towel, bath towel, and slippers per person, along with a hairdryer in the main bedroom.
  • In each bathroom you'll find a bathmat, two toilet rolls, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and hand wash.
  • The kitchen is stocked with a small cleaning pack featuring a cleaning cloth, two bin liners, a dual-purpose sponge scourer, a mini 20ml of Claro washing up liquid, three Claro dishwasher tablets, and one laundry tablet.

Additionally, to keep you connected, we've installed fiber optic cable to every pitch for those who wish to stay in touch with the world.

Can I arrange for a grocery delivery to my lodge?

Absolutely.  You can arrange for a grocery delivery to meet you at your lodge.  Ahead of booking your grocery delivery, we do advise you to check your lodge number to enable the delivery driver to find your accommodation - you may check your lodge number calling reception on 01439 413102.   Most major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco, will deliver groceries to the Yorkshire Spa Retreat.  Please do ensure that you are on park to receive your delivery.

Is it possible to arrange transport so we can explore the area?

Absolutely. We can arrange local transport to and from all of the amazing restaurants, villages, towns and the stunning landscape we have surrounding us. We also have our Land Rovers available for guided tours, excursions and special occasions.

How far away is the nearest train station?

We’re only 45 minutes away from York Train Station. But we’re also not far from Malton and Thirsk Station. Upon booking, simply get in touch and we can arrange a taxi or chauffeur to collect you from the station.

How far away is the nearest airport?

We’re 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Leeds Bradford Airport, and 1 hour from Durham Tees Valley Airport.  Simply get in touch and we can arrange an airport transfer.

Can I purchase a holiday home at Yorkshire Spa Retreat?

How do I enquire about Lost Property?

In the event that you may have left behind any personal belongings during your stay, we want to ensure a transparent and efficient process for lost property management:

  • Lost Property Storage Period: Any lost property left at Yorkshire Spa Retreat from the date of your departure will be carefully stored for a maximum of three months.
  • Claiming Your Lost Items: We understand that sometimes items may be inadvertently left behind. To reclaim your lost property, please contact our team a by calling: 01439 413102 or email: reception@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk,  during our office hours. We will do our very best to assist you in retrieving your belongings.
  • Expiration of Storage Period: Items not claimed within the three-month storage period will be subject to removal from our premises.

At Yorkshire Spa Retreat we are committed to ensuring that your belongings are handled with care. We kindly request that you check your belongings thoroughly before departing, and in the event that you do leave something behind, please do not hesitate to reach out to us as soon as possible.

Can I book The Dome for a special occasion?

Is there a dress code for The Dome?

Not at all. We welcome in guests who are staying with us, celebrating, stopping off before a hike, so please do wear what you feel comfortable in.

Can I walk in, or do you need to book?

You’re very welcome to simply drop in though we do get incredibly busy and so we recommend booking in advance over the telephone to avoid disappointment. For bookings of 6 people or more advance booking is necessary. You can contact us on 01439 413102.

Can The Dome be booked out for private use?

The entire restaurant can’t be accessed for private use, but we do have some private hire options available. Simply email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we can discuss your event in more detail.

Is The Dome dog friendly?

Absolutely. We even have a dog menu for them to enjoy, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash.

Is there a children’s menu?

Absolutely. We want your little ones to be comfortable and will have a children’s menu ready for you on arrival

 

Can we bring our own celebratory cake / drinks into The Dome?

What payment methods do you accept?

We are a cashless business and so all payments can be made with either debit or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards, except AMEX.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. If you need to discuss changes to either time, please contact info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk

Can I stay for one night?

No but we do now offer 2 night stays.

Can I bring my dog to stay with me?

Absolutely. If your dog is well behaved, and fully toilet trained, they’re more than welcome to join us, but you must book a dog-friendly lodge. We do ask that you try and keep them off the furniture though, and we have a maximum allowance of two dogs per lodge.

Do any of the lodges offer disability access?

Our lodges are not specifically designed for disability access although this is coming in the future. In the meantime though, we can certainly discuss your specific requirements and advise on the appropriate lodge if you require more space. The lodges are of a large open style, so we can often assist with mobility issues.

Can my family access the swimming pool during our stay?

We have a natural swim pond as part of the spa, not a traditional swimming pool. Access is limited to over 16’s only, and any guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. You do have to book in though, and can do this via the main Spa page.

Is Spa access included in my stay?

During 2023 our lodge holidays offer you a complimentary three-hour spa access per guest, per spa booking, which does need to be pre-booked. In your booking confirmation, you’ll be given the link to book your slots. You can also choose to add additional spa treatments to your booking for an additional fee.

From January 2024 onwards, our lodge holidays do not include a complimentary three-hour spa access per guest. In your booking confirmation, you’ll be given the link to book you spa access slot at a discounted rate as a lodge guest. You can also choose to add additional spa treatments to your booking for an additional fee.

Can you arrange some special touches on arrival for me?

Of course, we’d love to help make your stay even more special. A member of our team will be in touch with you prior to your stay and can confirm these details with you. But you’re also very welcome to email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk to discuss some ideas.

What is included in my accommodation?

Your lodge comes fully equipped with the comforts of a luxury self-catering break, ensuring your stay exceeds expectations.

Soft towels and quality linen are provided, and each bed is made up for your arrival.

In the bedroom, you'll find a robe, hand towel, bath towel, and slippers per person, along with a hairdryer in the main bedroom.
In each bathroom you'll find a bathmat, two toilet rolls, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and hand wash.

The kitchen is stocked with a small cleaning pack featuring a cleaning cloth, two bin liners, a dual-purpose sponge scourer, a mini 20ml of Claro washing up liquid, three Claro dishwasher tablets, and one laundry tablet.

Additionally, to keep you connected, we've installed fiber optic cable to every pitch for those who wish to stay in touch with the world.

Can I arrange for a grocery delivery to my lodge?

Absolutely.  You can arrange for a grocery delivery to meet you at your lodge.  Ahead of booking your grocery delivery, we do advise you to check your lodge number to enable the delivery driver to find your accommodation - you may check your lodge number calling reception on 01439 413102.   Most major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco, will deliver groceries to the Yorkshire Spa Retreat.  Please do ensure that you are on park to receive your delivery.

Is it possible to arrange transport so we can explore the area?
Absolutely. We can arrange local transport to and from all of the amazing restaurants, villages, towns and the stunning landscape we have surrounding us. We also have our Land Rovers available for guided tours, excursions and special occasions.

How far away is the nearest train station?

We’re only 45 minutes away from York Train Station. But we’re also not far from Malton and Thirsk Station. Upon booking, simply get in touch and we can arrange a taxi or chauffeur to collect you from the station.

How far away is the nearest airport?

We’re 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Leeds Bradford Airport, and 1 hour from Durham Tees Valley Airport.  Simply get in touch and we can arrange an airport transfer.

How do I enquire about Lost Property?

In the event that you may have left behind any personal belongings during your stay, we want to ensure a transparent and efficient process for lost property management:

Lost Property Storage Period: Any lost property left at Yorkshire Spa Retreat from the date of your departure will be carefully stored for a maximum of three months.

Claiming Your Lost Items: We understand that sometimes items may be inadvertently left behind. To reclaim your lost property, please contact our team a by calling: 01439 413102 or email: reception@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk,  during our office hours. We will do our very best to assist you in retrieving your belongings.

Expiration of Storage Period: Items not claimed within the three-month storage period will be subject to removal from our premises.

Is there a dress code for The Dome?

Not at all. We welcome in guests who are staying with us, celebrating, stopping off before a hike, so please do wear what you feel comfortable in.

Can I walk in, or do you need to book?

You’re very welcome to simply drop in though we do get incredibly busy and so we recommend booking in advance over the telephone to avoid disappointment. For bookings of 6 people or more advance booking is necessary. You can contact us on 01439 413102.

Can The Dome be booked out for private use?

The entire restaurant can’t be accessed for private use, but we do have some private hire options available. Simply email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we can discuss your event in more detail.

Is The Dome dog friendly?

Absolutely. We even have a dog menu for them to enjoy, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash.

Is there a children’s menu?

Absolutely. We want your little ones to be comfortable and will have a children’s menu ready for you on arrival

Can we bring our own celebratory cake / drinks into The Dome?

We are a cashless business and so all payments can be made with either debit or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards, except AMEX.

Can I get married at Yorkshire Spa Retreat?

I’m afraid we can’t book wedding receptions at Yorkshire Spa Retreat, as our spaces are open to our lodge guests. However, we can always try to offer a segregated area within our restaurant, The Dome for special occasions.

Can I access the spa without booking a treatment?

Absolutely. Book in for the Yorkshire Rebalance and you can enjoy the spa facilities for three hours, without having a treatment.

Can I purchase gift vouchers for the Spa?

Yes. You can purchase gift vouchers here, or for bespoke vouchers please email spa@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we’d be happy to arrange it. 

Is spa access included in my lodge stay?

Spa access is not included in our lodge holidays, which provide self-catering accommodation only. However, we do offer Spa access at an exclusive discounted rate for lodge guests, with access to our wild swim pond, hydrotherapy pool, thermal cabins, and spa lounge areas. To ensure availability, we recommend pre-booking your spa access using the link provided in your booking confirmation. Additionally, you have the option to add extra spa treatments for an additional fee.

Do you have treatments suitable for during pregnancy?

Absolutely. Our Spa Therapists have developed some beautiful treatments that are suitable for our pregnant guests, and all of our spa products are suitable for use during pregnancy.  View our treatments

What facilities can I use whilst pregnant?

Unfortunately, we wouldn’t advise using any of our experience rooms if pregnant. However, you can use our relaxation dome and we have some suitable treatments too.

Can children use the spa facilities?

Our spa is exclusively available to guests over 16 years of age. And any guests aged between 16 and 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

Do you offer robes and slippers?

We do. On your arrival at the spa you’ll have access to a locker to leave your belongings and changing rooms where you can change into your swimwear. Here you can pick up our luxury dressing gown and flip-flops to use during your stay.

Absolutely.  You can arrange for a grocery delivery to meet you at your lodge.  Ahead of booking your grocery delivery, we do advise you to check your lodge number to enable the delivery driver to find your accommodation - you may check your lodge number calling reception on 01439 413102.   Most major supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco, will deliver groceries to the Yorkshire Spa Retreat.  Please do ensure that you are on park to receive your delivery.

Is it possible to arrange transport so we can explore the area?

Absolutely. We can arrange local transport to and from all of the amazing restaurants, villages, towns and the stunning landscape we have surrounding us. We also have our Land Rovers available for guided tours, excursions and special occasions.

How far away is the nearest train station?

We’re only 45 minutes away from York Train Station. But we’re also not far from Malton and Thirsk Station. Upon booking, simply get in touch and we can arrange a taxi or chauffeur to collect you from the station.

How far away is the nearest airport?

We’re 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Leeds Bradford Airport, and 1 hour from Durham Tees Valley Airport.  Simply get in touch and we can arrange an airport transfer.

How do I enquire about Lost Property?

In the event that you may have left behind any personal belongings during your stay, we want to ensure a transparent and efficient process for lost property management:

Lost Property Storage Period: Any lost property left at Yorkshire Spa Retreat from the date of your departure will be carefully stored for a maximum of three months.

Claiming Your Lost Items: We understand that sometimes items may be inadvertently left behind. To reclaim your lost property, please contact our team a by calling: 01439 413102 or email: reception@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk,  during our office hours. We will do our very best to assist you in retrieving your belongings.

Expiration of Storage Period: Items not claimed within the three-month storage period will be subject to removal from our premises.

At Yorkshire Spa Retreat we are committed to ensuring that your belongings are handled with care. We kindly request that you check your belongings thoroughly before departing, and in the event that you do leave something behind, please do not hesitate to reach out to us as soon as possible.

Can I book The Dome for a special occasion?

Absolutely! The Dome cannot be booked exclusively, but we do accept larger parties.

1st April 2024 - 5th November 2024 - The Dome Restaurant & Bar is open during the following times:

Mondays:            Opens 12pm with last food orders at 4pm.  (Bank Holiday Mondays – Bar & Restaurant Opens 12pm with last food orders at 6pm).

Tuesdays:            Opens 12pm with last food orders at 9pm.

Wednesday:        Bar & Restaurant open 12pm with last food order at 9pm. (Enjoy 2 for 1 cocktails 5-8pm!*).  

Thursday :           Bar & Restaurant open 12pm with last food order at 9pm.

Friday:                  Bar & Restaurant open 12pm with last food order at 9pm.  (Enjoy 2 for 1 cocktails 5-8pm!*)

Is there a dress code for The Dome?

Not at all. We welcome in guests who are staying with us, celebrating, stopping off before a hike, so please do wear what you feel comfortable in.

Can I walk in, or do you need to book?

You’re very welcome to simply drop in though we do get incredibly busy and so we recommend booking in advance over the telephone to avoid disappointment. For bookings of 6 people or more advance booking is necessary. You can contact us on 01439 413102.

Can The Dome be booked out for private use?

The entire restaurant can’t be accessed for private use, but we do have some private hire options available. Simply email us at info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we can discuss your event in more detail.

Is The Dome dog friendly?

Absolutely. We even have a dog menu for them to enjoy, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash.

Is there a children’s menu?

Absolutely. We want your little ones to be comfortable and will have a children’s menu ready for you on arrival

Can we bring our own celebratory cake / drinks into The Dome?

What payment methods do you accept?

We are a cashless business and so all payments can be made with either debit or credit cards. We accept all major credit cards, except AMEX.

Can I purchase a gift voucher for the restaurant?

Yes. You can purchase monetary gift vouchers here, or for bespoke vouchers please email info@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.uk and we can arrange this for you.
